Kate Swann – Director & Consulting Psychologist: Treating clients across the range of presenting issues at PS, Kate specialises in working with adults and adolescents who have experienced early childhood trauma, Borderline Personality Disorder, depression and anxiety. She also works in Weight Management and Eating Disorders

Theoretical orientation: Psychodynamic, CBT, ACT, Interpersonal Therapy, Solutions Focused.

Kristina Mamrot – Director & Consulting Psychologist: While working with a broad range of presenting problems, Kristina specialises in working with adults and adolescents presenting with anxiety, depression, Weight Management, Eating Disorders and addiction. She also works with adults to improve parenting skills and women struggling with PND.

Theoretical orientation: Psychodynamic, CBT, ACT, Interpersonal Therapy, Solutions Focused.

Rachael FitzGerald – Consulting Psychologist: With experience counselling children, adolescents, and adults in individual and family therapy, Rachael’s years of working in school settings with children and adolescents along with their parents, has given her valuable knowledge and experience. She has also worked extensively with adult clients struggling with depression and/or anxiety. Rachael’s primary goal is to work with her clients to identify and facilitate change that will foster positive outcomes and emotional stability. As well, Rachael works Weight Management.

Theoretical orientation: Psychodynamic, CBT, ACT, Interpersonal Therapy, Solutions Focused.

Christine Barrett – Consulting Psychologist: Chris is a senior counsellor with decades of clinical experience. She specialises in treating couples to reduce conflict and enrich their relationships, or assist them in the process of separation. Chris also works with individuals struggling with anxiety or depression and has experience working with survivors of childhood sexual abuse and other traumas.

Theoretical Orientation: Psychodynamic, Solution Focussed, CBT, Narrative Therapy.

Carolyn Youren – Consulting Psychologist: Carolyn brings her years of working at the Center for Anxiety & Related Disorders in Boston US combined with her passion for training and working with Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to her work. She is experienced in working with adults, couples, and adolescents presenting with anxiety, depression, stress, and relationship difficulties. Carolyn also works with Weight Management and Eating Disorders, and is a Sport Psychology Consultant.

Theoretical Orientation: CBT, ACT, Positive Psychology.

Julie Breiland – Consulting Psychologist: Julie combines her solid training in community Psychiatric services and crisis response with enthusiasm and flexibility – adapting her approach to her clients’ individual needs. Julie works with adults, adolescents, and children with most presenting issues, including depression, anxiety, Personality Disorders, Substance-Related Disorders, Weight Management, and Eating Disorders.

Theoretical orientation: CBT, DBT, Psychodynamic, Solution Focused.

Belinda Brooks – Consulting Psychologist: Belinda aims to help her clients explore and understand their inner world so that they may become more knowledgeable in how to overcome concerns that are affecting their lives. She works with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety disorders, personality disorders, addiction , relationship and interpersonal issues, identity issues, and life transitions.

Theoretical Orientation: Psychodynamic, CBT, Interpersonal Therapy.

Sue McGregor – Consulting Psychologist: With a solid training in counselling children, adolescents and adults, Sue has practiced as Program Leader and Psychologist at The Cheshire School for eight years, specialising in treating students with social, emotional and/or learning difficulties, while supporting their families. Her areas of interest lie in working with children, adolescents, and adults suffering from depression, anxiety, and illness.

Theoretical Orientation: Psychodynamic, CBT, Solutions Focussed, Interpersonal Therapy.

Karen Glass/Emma Hepples – Practice Managers: As our client’s first introduction to PS Counselling, Karen and Emma exude warmth and efficiency as they listen to your needs over the phone, and help you decide which therapist would be the best ‘match’. With a background as  Executive Assistants, Karen and Emma have trained at PS to handle the myriad of issues that arise in managing Intake and dealing with day-to-day queries.
