Skype & Telephone Counselling
At PS Counselling, our Psychologists are trained in Skype and Telephone Counselling. Especially for clients in country and remote areas, this form of counselling is recognised by the Australian Psychological Society (APS) as ideal for people who are not able to attend face-to-face sessions.
Skype is free and easy to install, utilising a computer-based video link which allows the client and Psychologist to see and hear each other perfectly. For people who are not able to use Skype, or who feel uncomfortable with this technology, Telephone Counselling sessions may be the answer.
Skype and Telephone Counselling:
- are ideal for specialist services such as Child and Adolescent Counselling
- maintains confidentiality in small communities
- make accessing Psychological services available for time-poor business men and women
- are non-threatening for young people who are computer savvy
No referral is necessary for these sessions, simple call us to discuss or organise a session time.
Unfortunately at this time, Medicare Rebates for this service are not yet available. This is currently under review.
